Chipcap is the next generation relative humidity and temperature sensor with a small footprint ideal for climate control, instrumentation, medical equipment and white goods applications.
Based on a capacitive polymer sensing technology this device offers signal conditioning and temperature compensation for a single System-on-Chip solution.

Integrated into a unit measuring less than 10mm and with precision accuracy of ±2%RH and ±0.6°C, this device is very simple to use, fully tested and calibrated for accuracy on delivery - no further calibration required.

Honeywell Relative Humidity Sensors are configured with integrated circuitry to provide on-chip signal conditioning delivering a linear output voltage of ±2% RH.
These sensors contain a capacitive sensing die set in thermoset polymers that interacts with platinum electrodes. The laser trimmed sensors have an interchangeability of ±5% RH and achieve a ±2% RH accuracy with calibration, with stable, low drift performance. Packages are chemically resistant and operate in ranges of -40 °C to 85° C (-40°F to 185°F) to accommodate harsh environments.

The typical Applications include:
  • Refrigeration
  • Drying
  • Meteorology
  • Battery-powered systems
  • OEM assemblies
